Dr. Matthew K. Thomson, DPM
Dr. Matthew Thomson is a Michigan native. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 2002. He graduated with Honors from The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2006. Dr. Thomson then completed a competitive, three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency at The Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Thomson joined Dr. Throckmorton’s Lansing practice in 2009, and has been putting down roots ever since. Dr. Thomson is on staff at Sparrow, McLaren Greater Lansing, and Memorial hospitals. Dr. Thomson is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Thomson enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and three children. Dr. Thomson and family have been all over the state of Michigan camping, fishing, hiking, canoeing, skiing, and hunting. He participates in multiple types of athletics including soccer, running, cycling, triathlons, tae kwon do, archery and yoga. Dr. Thomson’s other interests include active church membership, coaching his son’s soccer team, and fly-tying. |
Dr. James R. Toney, DPM
Dr. James Toney was born and raised in Genesee County, MI. As a first generation physician, he understands and appreciates the importance of bedside manner. He has a passion for teaching and therefore believes spending time to educate his patients about their condition is key in successful treatment. For this reason, he encourages questions from his patients. He received his undergraduate degree from Ferris State University (Big Rapids, MI). From there, he elected to defrost for a bit, earning his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Midwestern University Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine (Glendale, AZ). While attending Podiatry school, he was elected class president and graduated in the top 10 of his class. He completed his formal education with a 3 year, surgical based residency program at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, MI. He has extensive training in a multitude of surgical and non-surgical foot and ankle treatment modalities. His surgical training included reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, as well as management of complicated diabetic foot infections/limb salvage. Dr. Toney is board certified in Foot Surgery and qualified in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is on staff at Sparrow, McLaren Greater Lansing and Memorial Healthcare. He is a family man and believes spending time with his family is important for a healthy life. He and his wife have settled in DeWitt with their two children. He is a sports nut and enjoys spending time outside. He and his family enjoy taking advantage of Michigan summers by camping, kayaking and traveling the coast. He would love the opportunity to aid you in achieving healthy, happy feet. |
Dr. Jonathon M. Rayman, DPM
Dr. Jonathon Rayman was born and raised in the Kalamazoo area. He received his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Western Michigan University. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University in Illinois, graduating with honors. He returned to Michigan to complete his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan. Dr. Rayman focuses on creating an individualized treatment plan for his patients, taking each patient's personal needs and goals into consideration. He treats patients of all ages and has specific interests in sports medicine/biomechanics , limb salvage and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Dr. Rayman is board certified in Foot Surgery and qualified in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is on staff at Sparrow Hospital, McLaren Greater Lansing and Memorial Healthcare Owosso. Dr. Rayman lives in Williamston with his wife and 4 children. He is an avid baseball fan and loves to spend time outdoors. His other hobbies include running, cooking and traveling with his family. |
Dr. Michael Dziewit, DPM
Dr. Michael Dziewit was born and raised near metro-Detroit. He received two bachelor’s degrees from Michigan State University in Human Biology and Physiology, along with two concentrations in Health Promotion and Bioethics, Humanities, and Society. After undergrad, he earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University where he graduated with honors. He was also a member of the prestigious Pi Delta National Honor Society for Podiatric students. After graduation, he finished his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency in his hometown of Livonia, MI at St. Mary Mercy Hospital. There he obtained extensive surgical training in both forefoot and hindfoot surgery. Dr. Dziewit is a very compassionate physician who puts his patient’s interests first and foremost. He has extensive training in all forefoot and hindfoot pathologies, whether they are surgical or non-surgical. He is board qualified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Now he is on staff at Sparrow Hospital, McLaren Greater Lansing, and Memorial Healthcare Owosso. When Dr. Dziewit is not busy caring for his patients, he enjoys quality time with his wife, three daughters, and son. He grew up playing ice hockey and baseball and still enjoys playing them when he has time to do so. |
Dr. Krysta Loveland, DPM
Dr. Krysta Loveland was born and raised in the Detroit Metro area and graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School as a multi-sport athlete which first peaked her interest in foot and ankle care. She went on to attend Albion College where she studied Biochemistry and Religious Studies. Dr. Loveland earned her Doctorate from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery where she served as president of her class. She completed her Podiatric Surgical and Reconstructive residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, MI, where she served as chief resident. She is trained in the most advanced technologies for foot and ankle surgery ranging from diabetic foot care to lower extremity reconstructive surgery and trauma. Her special interests include forefoot and rearfoot elective surgery, limb salvage, foot and ankle trauma and sports medicine, advanced wound care techniques, and pediatric and elderly podiatric care. Dr. Loveland is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician by the American Board of Wound Management and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Loveland is very excited to be joining the Foremost Podiatry team and will be treating patients at the Lansing office and is on staff at Mclaren Greater Lansing and Sparrow Hospitals. In her spare time, Dr. Loveland enjoys family time with her husband and daughter and can typically be found around their farm where they raise beef cattle and do crop farming. This city-girl-turned-farm-hand also enjoys reading, hiking and taking on overly ambitious DIY projects. |
